A good CV is your first foot through the door. But sometimes it's difficult to write about yourself.

Some people find it challenging to distinguish their unique strengths from generic descriptions (have you ever met anyone that is not 'highly motivated' or 'dedicated' when it comes to a job?), or think that writing about their strengths is 'showing off' (I see you, ladies), or don't really know how to pinpoint what they bring to the table. Others forget to talk about tangible results, figures, and achievements. And some don't really know how to adjust their CVs to each application.

Let me help you with all of that.

Some positions require a cover letter ('motivation letter'). This helps recruiters create a small yet meaningful threshold of effort. Many applicants mistake a cover letter as a mini-CV and replicate their resume, missing the opportunity to show their fit to the role.

A cover letter should not revolve around you directly. An ideal cover letter is a way to showcase your commercial way of thinking, why you're interested in this particular (1) employer (2) business unit (3) role, and why you believe you're a fit. It's a LOVE LETTER to a company, showing you're the right candidate and that you care. You wouldn't send a love letter to a significant other that's focused all on you, would you?
